About Grace King
I was writing before I knew how to write. When I was four, I drew pictures on index cards and had my mom dictate. I placed the pages in a scrapbook, and that was how I wrote my first few books.
At nineteen, I self-published a book titled, The Mad and Mindless Mind of Willa Jean. The Mad and Mindless is about a boy's journey to becoming a man.

This past April, I accepted an Award of Excellence for my original pilot, Accepted, on behalf of The Broadcast Education Association.
While in college, I was a part of two pioneer television teams.
I joined the writing team of Up Late App State in August of 2016. Up Late App State is formatted similarly to SNL's "News Update," and it was the first program of its kind to premiere on AppTV.
The same goes for This is App TV, a mockumentary series about a day in the life of the average college Broadcasting student. I started as the head writer, co-creating the show with my fellow constituents, and worked as the Producer for the Spring semester of 2019. Click here to watch the season finale of season three.

My Boyfriend Doesn't Call Me Beautiful
There are two driving forces that determine human decision making: Fear and Love.
More specifically, the fear of not being loved. Every heart break, every miscommunication, and even anger, stem from fear.
And if we,
as a society,
would stop being so afraid of ourselves and start loving each other,
we would find that
We
Are
Already
ACCEPTED.

I think it’s appropriate to use “Sluts” as an acronym for this comedy because this word has been used to demean women. But I did what Trevor Noah’s mother told him to do when someone said something racist to him. (Watch Trevor Noah's stand-up special on Netflix to understand this paragraph.) I shook it up with the love of Jesus and sent it back out into the world."
