A poem with no name:

How do I say the words that have already been said?

These aren’t my ideas floating around in my head.

How do I convince people to care?

Should I keep talking to myself?

Everyone is saying the same thing, over and over only with different ordered sentences.

No thought is original even though everyone different.

But there’s a reason we keep speaking,

Because not everyone is listening.

So we have to keep repeating

What’s already been said.

What do I say to get someone’s attention?

I don’t think it’s what I say,

but instead,

how I listen.

And that's it. That's the post. I could go on about my intent with this poem and break it down, but you people are smart. Also, why give you my interpretation when you have your own? You have your own, beautiful (or sad) perspective on the world, so take with it what you will, and if you want to email me so we can talk life, art, or anything in between, please do.

Feel free to shoot me topics you want me to talk about, too. I know I have touched on my experience with meditation in the past, so if you want to hear more about it, let me know! graceking623@gmail.com
